"They Just Didn't Care"

Films: Attack of the the Eye Creatures (1965)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Forest

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Two films separated only by time exist in the 60s that can only be described by a man saying, "I want to remake some 50's oldies, only somehow make them even worse than before!". Thus "Invasion of the Saucer Men" and "It Conquered the World" were put on the chopping block of director and self-proclaimed "schlockmeister" Larry Buchanan. He made more, but people remember him for "Zontar, the Thing from Venus" and in this case, "Attack of the the Eye Creatures".

History: The the Eye Creatures came from a distant planet to do...something. They just landed in a foresty area to pick on some teens apparently. If it was an invasion they were planning, then they might have skipped a few steps with their lack of weapons and armor. For this, Galactic parties are noticeably devoid of Eye Creatures.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The the Eye Creatures are revealed to be weak to light (history repeats, does it not?), so the teens corner them on a bright sunny-oh, sorry, "dark nighty-night time" with their cars, turn the lights on, and vaporize them.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Weak to light, but not day-for-night.

Scariness Factor: 1-The the Eye Creatures are pretty ugly at first, but then they start getting clumsy, dim, and horribly ineffective. Oh, some wear back-zippers, skin-tight black sweaters, and sneakers. They just didn't care.

Trivia: -Larry filmed the whole thing in a rich businessman's backyard, and half the budget went into the only real actress' salary. But at least people said he was a good person to work with.

-That annoying "the the" gag you've been seeing? Just look at the title screen of the film. You will see it and say to yourself without irony...that they just. Didn't. Care.

See, this wasn't the classic film they re-made nor is it an original poster. They just didn't care.
Two terrible remake creatures, together at last.
And thus, a life of pain from walking on eyes all day ends.
